”Folkemottakeren” var NRKs egen radiomodell, produsert av norske radiofabrikker fra 1936-39. Et mål med Folkemottakeren var å øke radiosalget og skaffe NRK flere lyttere. I alt 35 000 folkemottakere ble solgt gjennom landets samvirkelag frem til 1941.
"The People's Receiver" was the “Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s” own radio, produced by Norwegian radio factories between 1936 and 1939. The goal of the People’s Receiver was to increase the sale of radios and gain listeners to NRK. Until 1941, a total of 35,000 “Peoples Receivers” where sold by the nations co-ops.
Største sensasjon i Norge 1936 NRK Folkemotaker . Den kostet kr 85 som var en subsidiert pris fra staten ,grunnen til det var at staten ønsket at flest mulige anskaffet seg en radio. NRK var stiftet og hadde faste sendinger.
